TEAM CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:
1.  Handing in a Game Roster prior to start of game.  Must include SHOOT OUT names.
2.  Making sure locker rooms are clean after each game.
3.  Providing print out of USA HOCKEY for each player.  MUST BE received prior to start of season.  Players can email proof directly to CHL. (follow link)
4.  Providing signed liability waivers for each player.  MUST BE received prior to start of season.

 COMMUNITY HOCKEY LEAGUE

RULES

 

PLAYERS

1. Must be 18 years old at start of season.

2. Must have current USA Hockey membership, prior to start of the season.

3. Must sign Liability Waiver, to be kept on file with the CHL.

4. Must play a minimum of 10 games to be eligible to play in playoffs.

5. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN BY THE CHL. Under certain circumstanes, individual teams may opt to refund their players.

 

TEAMS

1. May have up to 20 players including a goalie.

2. Must field at least 5 skaters and a goal tender to avoid forfeit.  Special consideration may be given to allow 6 skaters if no goal tender is available.

3. Must dress all skaters with same color jersey, which must contain at least a back number.

4. May only have "B" level (and below) players on your roster.

5. Any team that has not paid in accordance with the designated fee schedule*, will forfeit and take a LOSS for the game of the due date, as well as subsequent games until paid.

6. NO ONE IS ALLOWED ON A TEAM BENCH UNLESS THEY ARE ON THAT TEAM AS EITHER A PLAYER OR A COACH AND HAVE USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION ON FILE WITH THE CHL.

  FURTHERMORE, ANYONE THAT IS ON THE BENCH, MUST AT A MINIMUM WEAR A HELMET.  THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, COACHES AND NON UNIFORMED PLAYERS.

GAMES

1.Games will be 3, 15 minute periods.

2.Games ending in a Tie, will go to a  4 on 4, 4 min sudden death.(running time)

     a. If still tied, there will be a 3-man shootout.

     b. If game is still tied after shoot out, a tie will be awarded to both teams**.

     c. Each team will receive 1 pt for the tie, winning team will receive additional pt for the win.

3.  Any player who receives and serves 3 penalties in one game, will be suspended for the remainder of that game.

      a.  In the event that a GOALIE receives 3 penalties (in a game), another play will serve the suspension for the remainder of the game.

FIGHTING

1.  Penalties and suspensions given by Referees, in accordance with USA hockey rules, will stand as final.

2.  In addition, first offense will result in 2 game suspension and $100.00 fine.  Player will be suspended indefinitely until fine is payed to the CHL.  Second offense will be a 1 year suspension and possible permanent dismissal from the CHL.

3.  Suspensions and fines will be carried over to the following season. 

RINK

1.  NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES TO BE CONSUMED ON RINK PROPERTY

2.  Locker rooms must be cleaned prior to last person leaving room. 

 

* FEE SCEDULE:  Team payment of $5300 due SEPT 4, 2011

                               

**Playoff games ending in a tie will play full strength, 15min sudden death.  If still tied, continue with 15 min periods of full strength, until a goal is scored.

 

 

 

The directors of the CHL reserve the right to add, remove, change and or ammend any rule at anytime, for the benefit of the league as they see fit.

Furthermore, the directors of the CHL may remove any player at any time, who violates the rules and or does not meet the requirements of the CHL, including but not limited to: FIGHTING, THREATENING OR BULLYING PLAYERS, UNSPORTSMANLIKE BEHAVIOR, ABOVE THE PLAY LEVEL, FAILURE TO MAINTAIN USA HOCKEY, ETC.
